These are organizations that resonated with me because they strive to empower individuals and nations to gather funds to improve their social and economical levels and education; they advocate and raise awareness for issues around the world such as poverty, child development and equity in education; and they promote opportunities for the development of the knowledge ans skills to bring positive social change to the world, improve education quality and accessibility throughout their different initiatives.
OECD
"The OECD's work on education helps individuals and nations to identify and develop the knowledge and skills that drive better jobs and better lives, generate prosperity and promote social inclusion"
UNESCO
"The broad goals and concrete objectives of the international community – as set out in the internationally agreed development goals, including the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) – underpin all UNESCO’s strategies and activities. Thus UNESCO’s unique competencies in education, the sciences, culture and communication and information contribute towards the realization of those goals."
The International Step by Step Association
"We commit ourselves to the development of children. Across all domains. Ever since ISSA was founded in 1999 we have grown significantly – providing knowledge and tools to improve the quality of Early Childhood Development. In pre-schools, day care centers and primary schools across Europe. From the secretariat in Leiden (The Netherlands), we gather and create prominent studies and insights on child care and share it with our peers, organization members and policy makers, so they can put them to good use."

Renata, I like the way you set up your post. The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development is for better jobs and better lives, generates prosperity and promotes social inclusion would be great for me. I hope to check it out more in the near future. Thanks for your post!
ReplyDeleteHello Renata! The organization ISSA sounds a little similiar to the zerotothree.org organization here at the national level in the United States as well as a little of the head start framework. The one thing that I was happy to read about is that their annual conference for 2019 includes policy makers which is sounds like from their community environment section/group that the policy makers are needed as they are needed to try to get funding for improvements to playgrounds and other things in the communities.
