Save The Children

Education. Health. Safety.

Save the Children Action Network is the political voice for kids. We believe that every child deserves the best start in life. As the political advocacy arm of Save the Children, we’re building bipartisan will and voter support to make sure every child in the U.S. has access to high-quality early learning and that no mother or child around the globe dies from a preventable disease or illness. By investing in kids and holding leaders accountable, we are helping kids from birth to age five survive and thrive.

While reading my course papers a question popped out of my mind. How does one effectively advocate for the well-being of children? It seems to be such an unreachable goal. The issues we have seen, read about and studied are overwhelming. I guess the idea is to take small steps, through educating ourselves and taking small actions around the community.
How do I influence the laws and policies regarding the early childhood field? Maybe I will learn soon as I explore savethechildren.org further and will be able to take my first steps.

  1. I like your outlook on your research process. Early Childhood advocacy can seem rather daunting when we look at the whole picture. We must remind ourselves that even the smallest of actions can make such large impacts on the children we advocate for. No effort is too small.
